Competent authority
Competent Authorities are responsible for receiving applications from EU Citizens with professional training and implementing the Directive where appropriate.
The National Contact Point for professional qualifications (UK NCP) provides information and guidance on particular questions that Competent Authorities may have in applying the Directive 2005/36. We are also able to assist in obtaining contact details for the appropriate Competent Authority in the various EU countries who may be able to provide more detailed information on registration and the regulatory process for the profession in that particular country.
For assistance on comparison of EU qualifications to UK standards please contact UK NARIC at www.naric.org.uk.
For further information or guidance relating to the directive please contact info@ukncp.org.uk.
